The philosophical difference
本質上的差別
Every launchd GUI before Clocksmith is an editor: it helps you write the configuration file, then its job is done. Clocksmith is a monitor first: its core question is "did last night's job actually run, and did it succeed?" It reconstructs run history from the macOS system log — start, end, duration, exit code — which, as of our July 2026 survey, no other launchd GUI does. Editing (daily / weekly / every-N-minutes schedules, create, enable, disable, run now) is deliberately kept simple.
